“We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.” – D. Warlick
ABOUT ME
My philosophy in education can be summed up by a quote from William Butler Yeats: "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire."
It is my objective to instill a love of learning in students. I believe every student has the right and ability to learn in an interesting and engaging learning environment. I remain succesful in creating a student-centered, technology-rich and highly engaging learning environment.
I attended Shasta College, California State University, Chico and Simpson University. I have been a master and mentor teacher and have a Master's Degree in Education and a principal's credential. I was determined to be a highly qualified teacher by the State of California. I also have a graduate certificate in Instructional Technology. I have over thirty years teaching experience.

As for personal interests, I enjoy parenting, exploring the great outdoors, technology, photography and teaching.
