I'm very excited to be an educator at Stellar Charter School! I started teaching in 1986 and remain enthusiastic and focused on making learning fun. I am the STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Math] Elective Coordinator at Stellar Charter School. Science and mathematics are exciting and can pave a road to a successful life. It has been said that, "Mathematics is the language of the universe."

I love what livescience.com says about STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Math]: "STEM is the science that deals with the logic of shape, quantity and arrangement. Math is all around us, in everything we do. It is the building block for everything in our daily lives, including mobile devices, architecture (ancient and modern), art, money, engineering, and even sports."

Even the White House is supporting STEM as a tool to interpret and change our world for the better. "[Science, Technology, Engineering and Math] is more than a school subject, or the periodic table, or the properties of waves. It is an approach to the world, a critical way to understand and explore and engage with the world, and then have the capacity to change that world..."

— President Barack Obama
